This project consisted of the replacement of 675 LF of the existing 84” diameter Chapman Raw Water Transmission Pipeline in Hunt County. The replacement involved removal of the existing prestressed concrete cylinder pipe and replacement with new polyurethane-coated steel pipe and a cathodic protection system. Due to the vital nature of this pipeline, the installation of this line was completed in 18 days so that service could be restored via temporary jumper pipes around the test plugs. After Customer City’s tanks were refilled, the line was again dewatered and hydrostatically tested and returned to permanent service.
