Wylie WTP Finished Water Reservoir & Flow Meter Replacement

This project included the construction of a new 7 million gallon clearwell, 16 meter vaults with magnetic flowmeters, and 2 chemical injection vaults at NTMWD’s Wylie WTP.  BAR self-performed all of the dirt work and structural concrete work requiring 55,000 CY of excavation in order to pour the 8,000 CY of concrete for the new clearwell.  The 16 new meter vaults were located at all 4 plants on the NTMWD WTP Site.  Because every plant would be affected, careful coordination was required between NTMWD and BAR to minimize service disruptions while these new flow meters were installed and put into service.
