This project was the construction of a pressure reducing station near the Kennedale Balancing Reservoir for the Tarrant Regional Water District. The project included extensive buried steel yard pipe in sizes 48”, 84” and 108” which were all flowable fill encased. The yard pipe enters the building in a below grade vault, tees upward and then horizontally through the building. The exposed piping included two 48” multi-orifice valves that produce the pressure reduction. The pre-engineered metal building includes an overhead bridge crane and provision for two additional runs of 48” exposed pipe. The yard piping system contains two meter vaults, and seven vaults for the buried butterfly valves.
