Project Details

City of Celina’s Legacy Hills Water Reclamation Facility Phase 1 Improvements include an influent pumping facility, influent flow metering facilities, headworks facility including influent screening with screenings transport and processing facilities together with grit removal with grit pumping and grit processing facilities, sequential batch reactor (SBR) facilities with SBR aeration blower facilities and post equalization with flow control station. Tertiary filtration facilities together with pumped backwashing facilities, are followed by ultraviolet disinfection facilities with an effluent metering facility. An electrical distribution with adjoining office/laboratory facilities is provided together with a standby power generator unit. An effluent pipeline transports the treated flow to an outfall discharge structure located on an unnamed tributary of the Little Elm Creek. A waste activated sludge (WAS) pump station directs waste solids to sludge holding tanks, that is complete with aeration blowers. Sludge transfer pumps direct solids from the sludge holding tanks to a sludge dewatering facility that uses belt press technology to dewater the solids. Dewatered solids are transported to an enclosed temporary sludge holding bin. The bin is then hauled offsite for emptying and final sludge disposal. The project includes an associated array of piping enhancements, site development enhancements, drainage improvements and civil/yard enhancements, install power supply from electric utility, interconnect with City’s potable water network, together with electrical, instrumentation, and control enhancements to develop a complete and functional facility capable of treating 0.95 MGD permitted design flow.
