Project Details

Construction was completed on a new 4-basin Sequencing Batch Reactor system to process activated sludge treatment of municipal wastewater. Also, this project consisted of construction of a dewatering system to include repurposed sludge tanks and a new belt press system. A new operations building was constructed that is used to provide office space for plant personnel, an electrical/communications room, and a chlorine equipment room. SCADA improvements were included to allow for the plant to be run completely automated. A hydropneumatics tank was installed along with an air compressor and two horizontal pumps to create a new plant water system. The addition of an odor control system and a mechanical screen were also vital parts of the plant’s operations that were included in the improvements project. BAR self-performed the installation of the yard pipe for this project, that included sizes from 18” ductile pipe down to 1.5” PVC pipe. These improvements allow for an automated plant operation to be rated for a design flow of up to 0.93 MGD with a peak capacity of 3.72 MGD.
