Project Details

This project consisted of approximately 4,780 LF of 108” raw water transmission pipeline at TRWD’s KBR Facility in Kennedale, TX.  There were several challenges associated with this project.  One was the sandy and unstable ground where the pipe was installed necessitating the use of 25’ pipe joints.  Another was that this pipeline was entirely concrete encased which required continuous coordination with the concrete supplier to avoid delay of the laying operation.  The final challenge was that the beginning portion of this job was laid down an existing county road requiring thru traffic to be detoured while still keeping access to local traffic.  The entire disturbed road was repaved with asphalt paving after pipe laying had concluded.
